Bid and give

Browse the auction

1. Scroll, search, or tap Closing soon.
2. Look for the badges on the photos. Winning means you hold the high bid. Outbid means someone has passed you.
3. Tap an item to see it.

Items are grouped into sections. Each section has its own countdown, so check when the things you want are closing.

Search

Handy when you are standing at an item’s table.

1. Type a word, or the item number printed on its display card.
2. Tap an item, or Clear to go back to everything.

Bid on an item

1. The page shows the current bid and how long is left. If you were outbid, it says so at the top.
2. The button at the bottom shows the next bid. Tap plus if you want to go higher.
3. Tap Bid.

Two other ways to bid are one tap away:

• Max bid. Set the most you are willing to pay, and the auction bids for you up to that amount.
• Buy now. Some items can be bought outright at a set price.

My bids

Where you stand on everything. Check it through the evening.

• Items where you were outbid come first, each with a Bid button.
• Items you are winning and watching follow.
• If it ends now shows what your bill would be.

Last chance

If nobody bid on an item, it may be offered at a lower price for a short time after its section closes.

1. Check the reduced price and the time left.
2. Tap Buy, then confirm.

The live auction

You can follow the item the auctioneer is selling, in the room or from home.

• In the room: raise your paddle. A spotter records your bid.
• Somewhere else: tap Bid. A spotter sees your bid and accepts it.

The page tells you which of the two applies to you.

Give to the paddle raise

You can give during the appeal, or any time before it.

1. Tap an amount.
2. Tap Give. It goes on your bill.

During the appeal the page shows the level the room is on, so you can join at the same moment.
