Refunds
Give money back for a gift or an event order, and see where the refund shows in Finance.
Refund a gift
Open the gift in Finance › Generosity and press Refund. All the steps are in Donations and refunds.
Refund an event order
Bless has no refund button for event orders yet. Refund the payment in Stripe. Bless records it on its own.
- Open the event and find the order in its registrations. Note the guest’s name, the amount and the day.
- Open Stripe from Settings › Payment Processing.
- In Stripe, find the payment and press Refund.
- Type the amount and press Refund to confirm.
In a few seconds, Bless shows the payment as Refunded or Partially refunded.
If the guest paid by cash or check, return the money the same way. Bless cannot refund it.
What happens to the money
- The money goes back to the card or bank account that paid. It takes 5 to 10 business days to show.
- Stripe keeps its processing fee. You pay the refund from your Stripe balance.
- The refund shows as its own line in the next payout. It makes that payout smaller.
