What syncs

How to read this page

• Always means Bless writes the field each time the record changes.
• On create means Bless writes it only when it creates the record. After that, you can change it in Salesforce and Bless leaves it alone.
• If blank means Bless fills it only when it is empty in Salesforce.
• Dates use your organization’s time zone. Date-times are sent as exact moments.
• Bless cuts names to 80 characters on Visios objects, and to 120 on Opportunities.

Each Bless record keeps the ID of its Salesforce record, so Bless updates the same record each time.

Contacts

A Bless contact becomes a Contact.

Campaigns

Each Bless campaign becomes a Campaign.

Gifts

Each gift becomes an Opportunity. A recurring gift is one Opportunity for its first payment. Each later payment becomes its own Opportunity.

If your org has the fields Fees_Paid__c, Fees__c or Stripe_Fee__c, Bless fills them too.

Recurring payments

Each payment after the first in a recurring gift becomes its own Opportunity. It has the same fields as the gift, with:

• CloseDate: the day of that payment.
• StageName: Closed Won.
• Visios__Transaction_ID__c: that payment’s own Stripe ID.

Each paid event order becomes an Opportunity.

Only paid orders with a total above $0 sync, including orders that were later refunded. Free orders, comped orders and unpaid orders do not.

Donation batches

Each batch of offline gifts becomes a Batch.

The gifts in the batch sync as their own Opportunities. They are not linked to the Batch.

What does not sync

• Messages, announcements and emails.
• Answers to registration questions.
• Auction items, bids and bidders. Auction purchases sync as event orders. Paddle-raise gifts sync as gifts.
• Pledges, until money is given.
• Payouts and Stripe fees as their own records.
• Refunds. See What cancels and refunds do.
• The lines of an order. An order syncs as one amount.
• Funds as records. Only the fund’s name syncs, on each gift.
• Event descriptions, pictures and the venue address. Only the venue name syncs.
• Your team, volunteers and their accounts.
• Draft and archived events, and seats with no guest named yet.
• Deletions. Bless never deletes a record in Salesforce.
