How integrations work

The short version

1. Integrations live in Settings › Integrations.
2. Only an owner or an admin can connect, reconnect or disconnect one.
3. Bless sends your data to the other tool. It does not bring changes back into Bless.
4. Bless sends each change in the background, a few seconds after it happens. You keep working.
5. If the other tool refuses a record, Bless tells you on the Integrations tab. Everything else keeps syncing.

Rules every integration follows

• One way. Bless is the source. A change you make in the other tool does not change Bless. The next change in Bless can write over it, for the fields Bless sends.
• Nothing is deleted. Bless never deletes a record in the other tool. When you cancel or archive something in Bless, the guide for each integration says what happens.
• One connection for each organization. Each organization in your Bless account connects its own tools.
• Your keys are safe. Bless keeps keys and secrets encrypted.

Words you will see

Sync. Send a record from Bless to the other tool, as a new record or as a change to one it already has.

Connected app. The settings in Salesforce that let Bless sign in. It gives you a consumer key and a consumer secret.

Integration user. The user in the other tool that Bless signs in as. Every record Bless writes shows this user as the creator.

Match. A record in the other tool that Bless thinks is the same person or thing, so it updates it and does not create a second one.

Failed record. A record the other tool refused, for example because a required field is missing.
